David Suzuki Supports Ruisseau Jackson

[translation]

We learnt with much pride that the David Suzuki Foundation was granting its official support to Ruisseau Jackson: Protected Natural Area (RJANP).

According to the Foundation, as a finalist in the 2016 edition of the Prix Action David Suzuki, RJANP distinguished itself from 200 initiatives and projects of all types carried out across the province of Quebec. The Prix Action David Suzuki [David Suzuki action award] was created in 2014 to highlight citizens environmental commitment.

“All of the finalist projects are a testimony to the creativity, determination and commitment of those who initiated and led them. Behind each project, there is a group of passionate and committed citizens who are determined to protect our environment and improve our quality of life. Every project brings hope and the necessary change to create sustainable communities and a viable future here and elsewhere.”

The David Suzuki Foundation has been working for 25 years to protect the environment and our quality of life, now and for the future. Karel Mayrand, Director General of the David Suzuki Foundation in Quebec explains that his organisation “is convinced citizens and their commitment are the drivers of real change enabling us to live in balance with nature.” Needless to say, this is also what we think!
