Thanks to all those who have already contributed to the 2017 RJANP fundraiser! We are making good progress in reaching our end-of-summer goal… Yet, yet… We invite you to spread the word to your friends and neighbors! We are still looking for at least 50% of our objective! Every drop counts!
Our objective: $8000 and the fundraiser end on 31 August 2017. The Municipality of Morin Heights has created a dedicated fund and will issue 2017 tax receipts to contributors. Below, as cool summer reading, a little more information on future RJANP activities! This is of course only a selection – please ask for a complete list:
1. Regular Water Sampling Program and additional tests with heavy rain.
2. Collaboration with the City of Saint-Sauveur to address cases of problematic septic tanks.
3. Implementation of a first voluntary conservation strategy on a major site.
4. Finalization of 3 to 5 Owner’s Booklets (targeted environmental studies and “declarations of intent”).
5. Water Quality and Nature Conservation Meeting (30 September 2017).
6. Monitoring of the Miller Sand Pit. Actions taken as soon as July 2017.
7. Community Nature Walk (winter 2018).
8. Production of signs to identify Ruisseau Jackson (identifying RJANP).
Thanks in advance for your generous contributions and enjoy these nice summer months!
