The specific objectives of the plan to protect and develop the Ruisseau Jackson watershed is to set out a broad strategy for stepping up the initiative and incite property owners to voluntarily adhere to land use recommendations. We also hope that community members will get involved in nature conservation initiatives; both as part of joint projects and individually. More specifically, in the years to come, we will work to:

• Determine and prioritize elements of interest in the natural environment around Ruisseau Jackson based on their socio-environmental value;
• Assess the vulnerability of the area and the opportunity to launch conservation actions based on the land register;
• Evaluate socio-economic issues in the area to ensure that they are accounted for in the conservation strategy;
• Set out approaches and objectives to protect and foster a better understanding of the Ruisseau Jackson ecosystem.

The Ruisseau Jackson protection and development strategy will stem in great part from these aims.
